Center City District

Center City District (CCD) is a business improvement district organization.

Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, CCD is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the vitality and competitiveness of downtown Philadelphia through services that maintain cleanliness and safety while promoting a vibrant urban environment.

The organization manages public spaces including parks, supports various events and retail promotions, and conducts research initiatives that contribute to Philadelphia's economic development. Center City District works collaboratively with the Central Philadelphia Development Corporation and the Center City District Foundation to foster community engagement and improve the downtown experience for residents, businesses, students, shoppers, and tourists.

CCD partners with outdoor advertising companies for street furniture and kiosk advertising programs that generate revenue for downtown improvements.

CCD's role in the outdoor advertising ecosystem is as a municipal partner and rights holder for street-level advertising infrastructure within Center City Philadelphia, working with commercial operators to deploy advertising-supported amenities like transit shelters, digital kiosks, and urban panels that enhance the pedestrian experience while generating funding for district services and placemaking initiatives.
