OUTEDGE (formerly OUTFRONT Media Canada) is a major out-of-home advertising company that was acquired by Bell Media in 2024 and subsequently integrated into Astral Out-of-Home.
Originally founded in 1904 with roots tracing back to Transportation Displays Incorporated (TDI) and National Advertising Company, the company evolved through multiple ownership changes including Viacom Outdoor, CBS Outdoor, and OUTFRONT Media before being purchased by Bell Media for C$410 million in October 2023. Prior to the acquisition, OUTEDGE operated an extensive network of outdoor advertising assets across Canada including billboards, transit shelters, digital displays, murals, and superboards in major markets from coast to coast.
The company held exclusive transit shelter advertising contracts in numerous municipalities including Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Hamilton, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Winnipeg, along with significant billboard and digital display inventory throughout Ontario, Quebec, and Western Canada. OUTEDGE pioneered programmatic DOOH capabilities in Canada through partnerships with Hivestack and launched advanced out-of-home analytics platforms to provide data-driven campaign measurement.
Following its integration into Bell Media's Astral division, the OUTEDGE brand and assets now contribute to one of Canada's most comprehensive out-of-home advertising networks, combining traditional outdoor excellence with digital innovation across transit, street furniture, and spectacular formats serving advertisers nationwide.
