About Us

DOmedia was founded with one objective: to simplify the process of buying and selling alternative advertising media. Having had experience on both sides of the transaction, we understood the challenges both marketers and asset owners faced. We also knew that with the rapid changes in media consumption, alternative advertising channels would take on bigger roles in companies' branding campaigns. Our plan was to address the obstacles facing industry participants while promoting the creative and effective use of out-of-home and ambient advertising vehicles.

Problem Solving

From an asset owners' perspective, we knew a lot of time and money was spent talking to the wrong people at the wrong time. We also knew that even the most thorough sales campaigns were probably missing individuals who would be great customers. It's nearly impossible to make sure you are reaching every key decision maker at exactly the point in time when they are in the market.

From a brand managers', media buyers', and creative directors' perspectives, we understood that developing an advertising campaign incorporating non-traditional elements can sometimes feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. Canvassing the country for available opportunties that reaching your desired audience is hard enough. Trying to find the appropriate contact people makes the challenge that much more difficult.

In short, we knew there were two audiences out there that really wanted to find one another, but were having trouble making the connection. Which gave us an idea… What if we could create that one place where all of these individuals could come together and quickly find each other, filtering out the noise and focusing on relevant connections. Out of that single “what if,” DOmedia was born.

Our Vision

Our first priority is to simplify the process of buying and selling alternative advertising media. We want to bring the relevant individuals together quickly and easily, facilitating the transaction. Right now, that means efficiently directing potential buyers to the owners/managers of media they need. Eventually, we will grow to support online negotiations, include a rating-based reputational component, and allow users to transact business directly through the site. It is our goal to continuously add tools and resources that improve the buying and selling process for asset owners and advertisers of all shapes and sizes, from all corners of the globe. We’re not there yet, but we will be.

On a grander scale, our vision is to promote great work being done in the non-traditional space and encourage agencies and advertisers to embrace alternative media as a viable component in their advertising campaigns. We want to fuel open conversations about what works and what doesn’t for advertisers, agencies and asset owners. We want to be a creative resource for art directors as they brainstorm new, innovative ways to promote their message, thus leading to even better work for consumers to enjoy.
